Proceeds will be donated to the following organizations:
Olive K. Britt Hope Fund at Lois Bates Acheson Veterinary Teaching Hospital
The Lois Bates Acheson Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine provides superb care to both large and small animals. Through a provision in her will, veterinarian Olive Britt created an endowment in OSU's College of Veterinary Medicine to provide clinical care for referred shelter animals or animals whose owners can't afford to pay for necessary procedures. Proceeds from Ride The Heart of the Valley will be donated to this fund. Click here to learn more about the Olive K. Britt Hope Fund. |
Johnson Dental Clinic at Boys and Girls Club of Corvallis
The Johnson Dental Clinic at the Boys and Girls Club of Corvallis was started by Dr. Ken Johnson and his wife Dot Johnson in 2008 as a way to provide children from low-income families with dental care. Since their opening, the clinic has seen 2,200 children and is covered under the Oregon Health Plan expansion of 2010. Proceeds from RHV will go to help more children receive dental care. The Ride the Heart of the Valley is a fundraiser, and all of the profits are donated, half to a veterinary charity and half to a human medical charity. This year we are proud to announce that we will be donating all the funds raised to the Olive K. Britt Endowment for Emergency Services at the Lois Bates Acheson Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine and to the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis Johnson Dental Clinic.
